Sustainable Dairy Farming Quiz
DeLaval needed a tool which could be used to educate attendees at fairs about Sustainable Dairy Farming in a playful yet serious way. The result was Sustain: The Game, a web application optimized for touch screens for use on fairs.
Device support was central, and in order to ensure the application works on all devices and platforms CSS3, SVG and Javascript were chosen over flash. The result is a smooth experience that works wonderfully on every platform with web standards support.

Carnegie live
When Carnegie acquired HQ Bank and HQ Fonder, they wanted to communicate with the market and emphasize the competence and knowledge of their fund brokers. The result was an online chat which was connected to interactive banners. The interactive banners as well as print media was run in most major Swedish news papers to spread the campaign.
Our responsibilities included the web application and the interactive banners, which was built upon HTML5 WebSockets to allow for real-time communication and an administration panel were a moderator could delegate questions to the right fund broker.

Gemensam Styrka
When the two Swedish unions Skogs- och träfacket and Grafiska fackförbundet merged to create the new union GS the goal was clear; to become the union of tomorrow. They wanted to give people the opportunity to fight for specific questions that appeal to them.
The result was a competition where people could post their ideas and projects they wanted to realize, and have other people vote for them and spread them throughout social media. The ten most popular projects were awarded up to 100 000 SEK by a panel, to realize the vision. All user interaction on the site was built on top of Facebook Graph to minimize the barrier of entry for engagement.

Castability
Castability was a joint research effort by Uppsala University, Populate and Q-Med which was carried out during 2009-2010. The aim was to study if and how online distribution of video and film can be an effective tool to establish common principles within a company.
We built an online video platform that would transcode uploaded films, load balance the streaming and gather usage statistics. The administrators of the system also had the ability to create accompanying questionnaires to published videos, and generate reports from the answers collected. We also produced a set of four films during the project – one for each principle.

Tyck till
During 2011 we helped Uppsala kommun (Uppsala county) launch their largest external campaign ever to promote their web based tool “Tyck Till” which means “Have your say”. The idea for the tool is to create a more transparent and accessible organization and to speed up their everyday dialogue with the citizens. The campaign consist of film (TV-ad), campaign site integrated into uppsala.se and banners for local newspaper UNT.

Traveur – We Run Free – 2010
Traveur is research project bewteen The Mobile Life research centre är Stockholm university (Interactive Institute) freerunning / Parkour community AirWipp. The project combines cutting edge technology with sports where a mobile community service is combined with augmented reality. The result is a mobile application for people active and interested in parkour and offers the community to share skills and learn from each other by using augmented reality. Populate was given the task to create and produce the online campaign film used to promote the application.
