It was an exciting project to assist UNT, and their fantastic internal work group, with a re-design of unt.se. The challenge was to structure the massive amount of information and still maintain the classic style UNT was known for.


We began the project with a market research. We wanted to know what was most important to people whenever they visit a news portal. Step two was to analyse other news portals, from around the world, to identify the differences between them. We realized that, for example in the US, most online newspapers use the headlines to tempt the audience to read the articles, while we in Sweden tend to use pictures instead.

Our work was primarily to arrange a new top navigation and to give more space throughout the whole webpage by modifying the CSS code. Our aim was to get the audience to actually read the articles and to use the webpage for a longer amount of time.
